Coastal Dynamics on a Micro-tidal breeze dominated beach (NCSAL)

Description

A comprehensive field effort devoted to the study of coastal dynamics in a micro-tidal sea breeze dominated beach was conducted in Sisal, Yucatán (México). Field observations of waves, tides, wind, currents, sediment transport, and beach morphology were measured in Spring 2014 during intense wind events. This project was leaded by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México/Instituto de Ingeniería and the University of Delaware/Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Concurrent measurements of wave and currents were measured along three transects.
